Lifestyle newborns are so, so special. When I first started my business, this was the type of session I was the most apprehensive about - I didn't have a ton of experience with babies (photography-related or otherwise) and I was so afraid I'd do something wrong or miss the shots that were most important to new parents. After doing a few free sessions for practice, I developed a soft spot for newborns very quickly. They're just pure joy - a new or growing family presenting themselves to the world. Since I take a lifestyle approach to these sessions and capture families as they are at home, I let the parents do all the handling and positioning, which I think makes both me and my clients more comfortable from a health and safety standpoint.
This little guy is Max, who joined his big brother Enzo earlier this summer. I also had the pleasure of taking Brittany's maternity photos; it's so cool to see babies both in and out!! These were taken on a quiet morning snuggling on the couch and in mom and dad's bed. Enzo was such a good listener and wanted to give little bro ALL the kisses, I felt like I was witnessing the beginning of a lifelong friendship.
